What is included

  • IV Candles: every candle coloured by implied volatility, blue when options are cheap and red when they are expensive.
  • 25-delta risk reversal: the price gap between calls and puts the same distance from the money. It shows whether traders pay more for upside or for protection.
  • ATM implied volatility: what the market expects the coin to move, from options at the current price.
  • Gamma levels: prices where options dealers' hedging may slow price down or speed it up.
  • Call and put walls: the strikes with the most open interest.
  • Open interest by strike.

Why options data belongs on the price chart

Options traders often pay up for moves before they happen. Skew turning toward calls, IV rising while price is flat, or price pinned between large call and put walls are all things you can only see with options data next to the candles.

Options data comes from the crypto options markets, such as Deribit, for Bitcoin and Ether. It comes from DerivativesMonkey, which builds options analytics for crypto.

Questions

Is the options data free?
Yes, with no sign-up.
Which coins have options data?
Bitcoin and Ether, the two coins with the largest options markets.
Are gamma levels exact?
No. They are a model of how dealers may be positioned, built from public open interest. Treat them as context, not as fact.
